Day to Night Transition!

Hello my darlings! All girls know the pain of how small the gap is between finishing work/college/university to heading off for a night out. Plenty experience has made me a pro in dealing with days like this!

Hair

First of all, i will ALWAYS pre-wash my hair the morning before a night out, and usually end up throwing it up in a bun. A bun stays put all day... who has time to faf about with straighteners and curlers when you literally have no time? To have a look at how i usually do my big messy bun, click here.

Preping

3/4 of the make-up that you're going to go out with has been done the morning before. I will always use a face primer and eyeshadow primer... it minimises oil and keeps your make-up put for longer! A high coverage long lasting foundation and concealer is absolutely essential on days like this. I usually use MAC pro-longwear foundation or Maxfactors 3 in one foundation. (Product slam down: Favourite High End & Low End Foundations) I use Benefits Porefessinal primer, urban decays primer potion & MAC's moisturising concealer.

For a tutorial on how i do my winged eyeliner click here. I normally wouldn't make my eyeliner so thick or intense, but if i knew i was going out, i would! For the sake of time saving. I always wear a light pink lipstick during the day and in these pictures, i'm wearing Speed Dial from MAC. (Once You Go M.A.C - You Never Go Back (Lipstick Collection)).

Transition to evening

The easiest way to go from a day time to night time look is to intensify the eye make-up. I do this by adding a eyeliner to my bottom water line and smudging it out. Pretty simple eh? I put a few more coats of mascara on and then also put it on to my bottom eyelashes. Finally, for the eyes i add a pair of fake eyelashes. With 3 simple steps, you can totally change the look of your eye make-up. Absolute gods end when you're in a rush!

I wipe off my pink lipstick and apply something much more " in your face".

Make-up Bag Essentials

There is a few other basic things that I will do when in a rush to get out... I repowder my face to get rid of any oil of greasyness (doesn't look very nice in pictures!), reapply concealer under my eyes and on any other blemishes on my face, reapply some blusher or bronzer. I'm not very big on blusher or bronzer but i know some girls like to go bronzer mad when getting ready for a night out, if you are...then do what you'd normally do!

All in all, finishing work/college and heading out straight afterwards with these tips here takes me half an hour tops. From getting in the front door to heading back out! (Another piece of advice, if you know you're going out...look out and choose your outfit before hand to avoid any disasters!)
