Good afternoon! I just sat down in front of my laptop to start revising for my mock exam and the final one. I realised it's a lot sooner than I think. What a quick college year! Anyway, some how I managed to type www.blogger.com into the search bar and I was pondering what I could blog about today(studying is overrated anyway)... Then it dawned on me that I'm sitting around the house waiting for my ASOS delivery to arrive.
I only ordered the items at 5pm last night. What did I pay for next day delivery? Nothing. Well... I paid a one off payment of £9.95 away back in October to join ASOS Premier VIP. The ASOS Premier VIP can be "bought" here. You will not receive a physical item if you decide to opt into this, but it will be added on to your account automatically. Being an ASOS VIP member costs £9.95 a year and you will 100% be treated like a very important person. The scheme will allow you have unlimited next day delivery for a year (until the year runs out) with no minimum order value. Yep! You heard right, No minimum order value.
Picture this, you realise on Friday afternoon at 2pm that you don't have a necklace to match the plain black body con dress you're wearing on Saturday. Fear not, with this VIP account - you can quickly add a gold chunky chain necklace to your basket on asos.com (i like this one), enter your bank details and any promo codes such as the UniDays student discount, order the item... and wait for it to arrive. You won't be waiting for long, as the item will arrive the next day. Just in the nick of time for your big night out on Saturday. This is what I found the most useful being an ASOS VIP. I could have a night out planned for six months and still not purchase an outfit until a few days before (or the night before...)
Another pro of upgrading to this type of account is that you get informed of any sales, and get to have a look at it before any other normal account. I also regularly get texts/emails with VIP only sales (just log into your account and click on the link from the email). Sometimes you'll be given a promo code with a percentage off a normal order, such as 10% or 20%. This account also entitles you to to free returns collection, no more sending it back.. they'll come to you and pick it up. And finally, last but not least you get 10 magazines a year delivered to your door featuring new items/styles, trends, and a bit of a confidence boost with interviews and studies- like all your big magazines, but for better than half the price. Why pay 4 quid for a magazine once a month when you could purchase this type of membership and practically get it for free?
The verdict is that ASOS Premier VIP is 100000% worth it. One of the best things I've done. Even before I purchased this I always used ASOS. It's my favourite shop, and you get many other extras/shops on it. High street (river island, new look) and designers such as Ted Baker and Levis. One other pro to doing all your online shopping on asos is that River Island, and Ted Baker do not do student discounts. Do you know who does do student discounts? ASOS! See where I'm going with this? You get a standard but very helpful 10% off on a regular basis with UniDays. But every so often, UniDays will offer you a 20% off student discount code. This is where I got all my Christmas shopping done about!
I have shopped with ASOS for many years, I order from them weekly (I know, bad girl! Why wouldn't I with this type of account AND my student discount?). and I will continue to order from them for a long time.
