Batiste Dry Shampoo

Batiste dry shampoo is probably the most used dry shampoo in the UK, here... I will tell you if the dry shampoo is worth the hype and media it has gotten over the years. Although prices of the products vary between retailers such as supermarkets and drug stores, the price tends to be around about £3.99 for the largest bottle, the medium sized one and the travel sized ones are obviously cheaper.

What is dry shampoo in the first place?

Well, it's all in the same! It's a shampoo, in the form of a powder which is used on dry hair. Simply spray on to your roots, or wherever else it is needed, leave for a minute and let it soak in, The powder absorbs all the oil and dirty into your hair. Use your fingers or a brush to get rid of the powder.

About Batiste Dry Shampoo

As mentioned up above, the brand provides three different sized bottles of dry shampoo. More recently, they have brought out XXL volume dry shampoo. The aim of the XXL volume dry shampoo is obviously the same as the average dry shampoo but with much extra "ooomfff" to the hair. This makes this product in particular great on clean or dirty hair. My hair, freshly washed is an absolute disaster to work with, the XXL volume dry shampoo it gives my hair fantastic texture - which is a dream to work with , particularly when it comes to back combing and holding curls! The brand, in the past few years have also brought out dry shampoo for particular hair colours. They have a blonde, medium and dark. The purpose of these products is just like the average shampoo except it is more suited to hair colours, i.e the powder matches better and you aren't left with a chalky grey/white residue.

The best thing about the product  is 100% the price tag and the availability of it. I see this product in practically every supermarket, drugstore and occasionally, even a bargain store for as cheap as £1.50

The smell! You can get various smelling ones - in the pictures above it shows the floral scented one. It doesn't just clean your hair, it leaves it smelling wonderful and fresh too

The consideration for darker hair it has by bringing out products more suited towards various hair colours - I think this was a massive selling point for batiste, i personally haven't seen another hair brand that does this

The fact that there is no need for hairspray. It's no secret that i absolutely hate everything about hairspray! The dry shampoo - particularly the XXL volume one banishes the need for hairspray with the lasting volume that it gives you

Rating

Overall this product gets 4 out of 5 stars - the reason that the product has dropped one star is a bit contradicting - all except the coloured products leaves a chalky residue on hair, which is particularly bad for darker hair. Although, like i've said numerous times in this post, there is an alternative product from the same company with practically the same price tag.

Thank you for taking the time to read this post, look out for my 10 top products under £10
